British Airways is introducing complimentary quick in-flight connectivity via space-based agreement

Passengers flying with British Airways can soon use high-speed internet in the air at no cost after a major deal with the billionaire's space company.

No-cost and Fast Connectivity Available to Everyone

The carrier revealed that this free, “reliable and lightning-fast” wifi offering via SpaceX becomes available for passengers flying coach, premium economy, and premium cabins from next month.

Broad Deployment Across Several Airlines

The parent company for British Airways, IAG, stated it had finalized an deal involving Starlink for providing wifi coverage across 500-plus aircraft within the group's operators, which also include the Irish airline, Iberia, and the low-cost airline.

Uninterrupted Internet from Gate to Landing

BA explained that the implementation of this technology formed part of a multi-billion pound “upgrade” plan that will deliver uninterrupted connectivity access to flyers from the gate to arrival, including when in flight across large bodies of water and isolated areas.
