Chopper Spirals Wildly into Palm Trees at Frequented California Beach
An aircraft hovering above a popular California shoreline abruptly began spiraling wildly, finally descending rapidly and plunging into a line of palm groves as beachgoers looked on.
Videos posted on the internet show the aircraft starting to spin above the shoreline then falling near the border of the coast, where it ends up lodged among palm groves and a steps close to the shoreline route.
Emergency Response Update
The Huntington Beach fire department said five persons were transported to a medical facility including two individuals who were in the aircraft and were “extracted safely from the crash site” after the incident on Saturday.
Three individuals on the pavement were harmed. Specifics on their condition were not immediately available.
What led to the incident was not immediately released.
