Real Madrid's winger Issues Regret to Real Madrid Fans
The forward has registered 5 strikes in 10 Spanish league outings so far this term.
Los Merengues attacker Vinicius Jr has expressed regret to fans for his response when replaced in Sunday's fiery Clasico clash win.
Vinicius was substituted in the 72nd min and expressed his frustration by walking immediately down the tunnel.
The Brazilian later returned to the bench and, following his side's narrow triumph, attempted to approach Barcelona's opposing player during unsavoury post-match scenes.
"Today I want to say sorry to all the supporters for my response when I was taken off in the derby," Vinicius wrote on X.
"Just as I have previously expressed during this morning's practice, I also want to apologise again to my teammates, the team, and the club president.
"Sometimes passion takes over me because I continuously aim to win and assist my team. My competitive character stems from the passion I have for this institution and each thing it stands for."
The player joined Real from Flamengo in the year 2018 for a significant fee and has accumulated over a century of strikes in more than 300 games.
But his future in the La Liga is unclear with rumors in recent months suggesting that Los Blancos would consider letting the player depart if they got a good proposal.
When he was replaced on that day, broadcast footage from network Dazn captured him remarking: "It's always me! I'm leaving the team! It's preferable if I go, I'm moving on."
In his latest message on the platform, the athlete commented: "I commit to keep fighting constantly for the benefit of the club, as I have done since the very beginning."
